EHS Coordinator (Plutonic, Lawlers & Darlot)
The EHS Coordinator enhances workplace safety by establishing safety awareness and methods to minimise risk. This position is a fixed-term 6 month contract.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
The EHS Coordinator works within both Sandvik and client EHS management processes and systems to promote a safe, healthy, accident-free and environmentally responsible workplace environment.
This is achieved by:
- Adhering to all Sandvik Mining and Construction policies and procedures in particular the EHS policies
- Ensuring compliance with client€™s EH&S objectives and targets
- Conducting inductions and site inspections
- Providing a central point of contact and facilitating EHS communication and documentation
- Assisting in the development and review of registers and processes and procedures
- Reviewing and assisting Project Managers to maintain EHS systems and directories
- Providing assistance and advice to the Project Manager to optimize and enhance Sandvik and client EHS processes and systems

YOUR PROFILE
You are OHS&E qualified with a minimum of 5 years experience in related role. Your direct experience in the mining industry will be an advantage. If you have a qualification in training & assessment this is favorable.
Computer literacy is essential for you to succeed in this role with previous experience in database management and the Microsoft Office package.
Excellent written and communication skills are necessary to liaise with internal and external stakeholders. This will enable you to communicate effectively in your aim to achieve a positive safety culture. Your eye for detail is a must to ensure an impeccable record keeping ability.
