Senior Metallurgist
Utilise your gold processing expertise at this excellent modern plant.
This opportunity exists for a Senior Metallurgist at a medium sized gold operation near Kalgoorlie. The plant incorporates, crushing, grinding and gold recovery via gravity concentration and CIL.
This role will see you managing laboratory staff and graduate metallurgists, whilst you will report directly into the Mill Manager. The role will essentially be to maximise plant capacity and production through close work with the operations team and maintenance team. As the lead for the metallurgy team, you will control the lab and gold room, be able to manage improvement projects and provide regular feedback for management on the performance of the plant.
You will have tertiary qualifications in extractive metallurgy (or equivalent) with experience in working with gold processing. You will also need to be confident in process control, development projects, metallurgical accounting and Citec software.
In return for your expertise, a competitive remuneration package will be offered along with a great 8:6 roster FIFO from Perth.
